Overview
The 'Gwangju National Heritage Night' is a nighttime cultural heritage-themed tourism festival that offers various historical and cultural experience opportunities by connecting local national heritage sites with surrounding cultural facilities, allowing visitors to encounter the history of Gwangju and the national heritage of Dong-gu, the heart of Gwangju's history, under the moonlight. Supported by the Korea Heritage Service to promote the value of national heritage and revitalize local tourism, Gwangju Dong-gu has been promoting this project since 2017, marking its 10th anniversary this year. Composed of 8 'Ya' (Night) themes, the Gwangju National Heritage Night allows visitors to enjoy the national heritage of Dong-gu in diverse ways through Yagyeong (night scenery), Yaro (history tour), Yasa (experience), Yahwa (exhibition), Yaseol (performance), Yasik (food), Yasik (market), and Yasuk (accommodation).
