Overview
The Seoul Circus Festival, organized by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, is the only festival in Korea that specializes in the circus genre. Held annually around Children's Day, this festival is a special opportunity to encounter a diverse range of performances in one place, from traditional circus acts rarely seen today to contemporary circus performances reinterpreted for modern audiences. Dynamic performances that seem to test the limits of human ability—such as aerial acrobatics, tightrope walking, juggling, and acrobatics—provide audiences with both thrilling awe and deep emotion. Furthermore, the festival goes beyond just watching; it adds to the joy of the event by operating hands-on programs where citizens can learn basic circus skills, as well as exhibitions and flea markets. Aiming to be an open festival that everyone can enjoy regardless of age, it is one of Seoul's representative spring festivals that provides unforgettable memories for families and a new creative platform for artists.
