Overview
In May, when melon flowers bloom, the "Seongju Melon & Life Culture Festival" will be held in Seongju, Gyeongbuk, for four days from May 14 (Thu) to May 17 (Sun), embracing the Seongju Sejongdaewangja Taesil, where the placenta chamber of King Danjong is located. Starting with the reenactment procession of the Sejongdaewangja Taesil Taebong-an and a program for county resident harmony on the first day, various events such as the opening ceremony (theme performance, celebratory performance), Melon Song Festival, Light of Life and Love Concert, and Byeolmoe Tug-of-War will take place. In addition, the festival adds a special touch by operating Seed Island for families with children, the Melon Lounge where abundant melon tasting, recreation, and game experience programs are held, and the Life Trail, Life Theme Pavilion, and Melon Healing Park against the backdrop of the beautiful willow trees of Seongbaksup.
