Overview
'Geotja-ing' combines the local dialect for 'let's walk' with the English suffix '-ing,' meaning let's enjoy walking together along Geumnam-ro. In line with Gwangju's declaration to become a 'Public Transport, Bicycle, and Pedestrian (Dae-Ja-Bo)' city, this event aims to overcome the climate crisis and create a street where rest and communication flourish through the revitalization of pedestrian-friendly spaces. In 2026, the event will be held on the first Saturday of every month from April to November, providing an environment where citizens can walk freely, accompanied by various hands-on programs and cultural performances.
