Overview
*The food information below is based on the previous year's (2025) festival; the 2026 festival details are currently being updated.* Celebrating its 28th anniversary this year, the 2026 Mungyeong Tea Bowl Festival is one of South Korea's representative festivals, where the depth of tradition meets modern sensibility. It will be held for ten days from May 1 to May 10, 2026, at the Mungyeong Saejae Open Set, a place that preserves breathtaking natural scenery. Mungyeong ceramics are born from the intense heat of over 1,300°C, adhering to the traditional wood-fired kiln (Mangdaengi kiln) method rather than artificial techniques. The tea bowls, with their rustic yet natural beauty, possess a charm that clears the mind of the user. In particular, this festival has significantly strengthened various participatory content aimed at the 'MZ generation' and 'family visitors,' aspiring to evolve from a festival that is simply watched into a stay-type festival that can be enjoyed together.
