Overview
The Ulsan Onggi Festival is the only festival in Korea specialized in onggi (earthenware), which has been with the Korean people for over a thousand years. As the festival is held in the Oegosan Onggi Village in Ulju-gun, where onggi is still crafted using traditional methods, it naturally promotes the region's signature specialty, onggi, and contributes to the distribution of household onggi and the development of traditional industries. The festival features demonstrations of onggi-making by master artisans, as well as a variety of hands-on experiences, exhibitions, and performances.
