Overview
*The festival details below are based on the previous year (2025), and the 2026 festival details are currently being updated.* The Hadong Wild Tea Cultural Festival is a government-designated honorary cultural tourism festival held every May in Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, the birthplace of tea cultivation in Korea. Hadong wild tea, grown in a pristine natural environment, has long been renowned for its exceptional taste and aroma. Following the 2023 Hadong World Tea Expo, the festival celebrates its 28th anniversary in 2025, further enhancing its reputation as a 'Tea Healing Cultural City' and increasing the brand value of the tea industry and culture. Visitors to Hadong in May, when the landscape turns a vibrant green, can enjoy spaces where music and art harmonize, such as 'Busking in a Teacup' and 'Moving Art Museum,' as well as various healing programs like tea classes and book talks, and walking along the Millennium Tea Fragrance Road. A cup of tea can make an ordinary day feel special, allowing visitors to fully experience the taste and charm of Hadong. This year, especially for Children's Day on May 5th, a variety of programs will be available for the whole family to enjoy together.
