Terms of Service

This translation is provided for convenience. If there is any inconsistency, the Korean version prevails.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between TravelGen ("Company") and users in relation to use of the services provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

The following terms used in these Terms shall have the meanings below:

  1. "Service" means all services provided by the Company.
  2. "User" means both members and non-members who use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
  3. "Member" means a person who registers by providing personal information and may continue to receive information from the Company and use the Service on an ongoing basis.
  4. "Non-member" means a person who uses the Service without registering as a member.
  5. "Content" means all text, photos, videos, attachments, links, and other materials posted on the Service by the Company or users.

Article 3 (Supplementary Rules)

Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by applicable laws and generally accepted commercial practices, including the Telecommunications Business Act, the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, and the Personal Information Protection Act.

Article 4 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

  1. These Terms apply to all users who wish to use the Service.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable laws.
  3. If the Company amends these Terms, it will announce the effective date and reason for the amendment together with the current Terms from at least 7 days before the effective date until the day before the effective date. If the amendment is unfavorable to users, at least 30 days' prior notice will be provided.
  4. If a user does not agree to the amended Terms, the user may stop using the Service and request account withdrawal. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

Article 5 (Formation of Use Agreement)

  1. The use agreement is formed when a user agrees to these Terms, applies for membership by completing the registration form prescribed by the Company, and the Company accepts the application.
  2. The Company accepts applications from all users who meet the application requirements.

Article 6 (Changes to Member Information)

  1. Members may view and modify their personal information at any time through the personal information management screen.
  2. If there is any change to information entered at registration, the member must update it online or notify the Company by email or other means.
  3. The Company shall not be responsible for disadvantages caused by failure to notify the Company of such changes.

Article 7 (Duty to Protect Personal Information)

The Company endeavors to protect members' personal information as required by applicable laws. Protection and use of personal information are governed by applicable laws and the Company's Privacy Policy.

Article 8 (Member Account Management)

  1. Members shall not allow third parties to use their accounts and must safely manage the account information used for login.
  2. If a member becomes aware that the account has been stolen or used by a third party, the member must notify the Company immediately and follow the Company's instructions.
  3. The Company shall not be liable for disadvantages arising when the member fails to notify the Company or fails to follow the Company's instructions after notification.

Article 9 (User Obligations)

  1. Users shall not engage in any of the following acts:
    1. registration of false information when applying or modifying information
    2. theft or misuse of another person's information
    3. modification of information posted by the Company
    4. transmission or posting of information not designated by the Company, such as computer programs
    5. infringement of intellectual property rights of the Company or third parties
    6. damage to the reputation of or interference with the business of the Company or third parties
    7. disclosure or posting of obscene, violent, or otherwise socially unacceptable information
    8. any other illegal or improper act
  2. Users must comply with applicable laws, these Terms, service guides, notices, and other matters notified by the Company, and must not interfere with the Company's business.

Article 10 (Provision and Change of Service)

  1. The Company provides the following services:

    1. Search and viewing of festival/event and travel/tourism information: the Company provides titles, places, schedules, detailed descriptions, images, and related information for festivals/events and travel/tourism, and allows users to search using conditions such as category, region, and tags.
    2. AI-assisted search and conversation features: the Company provides AI responses related to festivals/events, travel/tourism, and itineraries according to the user's question, search context, and selected mode.
    3. Account and usage status management: the Company provides membership registration, login, confirmation of completion of terms consent, and account withdrawal functions.
    4. Statistics and service operation features: the Company provides operational functions for service improvement, incident response, prevention of abuse, and analysis of usage status.
    5. Partnerships and external links: the Company provides links and integration features to partner products, external content, and external services.
    6. Itinerary storage and sharing: members may store the title, description, number of days, start date, end date, and itinerary items of their travel itineraries and share them through public links.
    7. Other supplementary services deemed necessary for operation: the Company may add and provide functions necessary for operational purposes in addition to the services listed above.

    The scope of services may change according to technical constraints, laws, or partnership policies, and such changes will be announced in accordance with Article 4.

  2. The Company may change the Service being provided when there is a substantial operational or technical need.

  3. The Company provides the Service in accordance with applicable laws, these Terms, operating policies, and notices.

Article 11 (Suspension of Service)

  1. The Company may temporarily suspend the Service due to maintenance, replacement, malfunction of information and communication facilities, interruption of telecommunications, or other comparable reasons.
  2. The Company shall compensate users or third parties for damages caused by suspension under paragraph 1, unless the Company proves absence of intent or negligence.
  3. If the Service can no longer be provided due to change of business, abandonment, merger, or similar reasons, the Company will notify users in the manner set out in Article 4 and compensate consumers according to the conditions initially presented by the Company.

Article 12 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)

  1. Members may request withdrawal at any time, and the Company will process it immediately.
  2. The Company may restrict or suspend a member's qualification if the member:
    1. registered false information at the time of application
    2. interfered with another person's use of the Service or threatened electronic commerce order by stealing information
    3. used the Service in violation of laws or these Terms
  3. If the same act is repeated more than twice or is not corrected within 30 days after restriction or suspension, the Company may terminate membership.
  4. If the Company terminates membership, it will cancel the registration and provide at least 30 days for explanation before cancellation.

Article 13 (Provision of Information and Advertisements)

The Company may provide members with information necessary for using the Service through notices or email. However, the Company will not provide commercial advertising information unless the member consents.

Article 14 (Hours of Service)

  1. In principle, the Service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, unless there is a special operational or technical reason.
  2. The Company may divide the Service into ranges and set separate availability hours for each range, in which case the Company will announce such details in advance.

Article 15 (Restriction on Use)

  1. The Company may restrict or suspend all or part of the Service in case of war, emergency, natural disaster, interruption of telecommunications services by a carrier, or other force majeure events.
  2. If the Service is interrupted under paragraph 1, the Company will notify users within a reasonable period. If prior notice is impossible, notice will be given afterward.

Article 16 (Management of Posts)

  1. If a member's post violates applicable laws, these Terms, or another person's rights, the Company may temporarily block access to or delete the post in accordance with applicable laws.
  2. If the Company deletes or suspends a post under paragraph 1, it will notify the member of the reason, except in urgent cases where notice may be given afterward.

Article 17 (Copyright in Posts)

  1. Copyright in posts created by members belongs to the author of the relevant post.
  2. Posts may be displayed in search results, within the Service, and in related promotions, and may be modified, copied, or edited to the extent necessary for such display.
  3. The Company will not use members' posts commercially without explicit consent.
  4. Members may take actions such as deletion, editing, or making posts private through management functions within the Service.

Article 18 (Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Company is exempt from liability for failure to provide the Service due to force majeure.
  2. The Company is not liable for obstacles to service use caused by a member's fault.
  3. The Company is not liable for loss of expected profits or damages arising from materials obtained through the Service.
  4. The Company is not liable for the reliability, accuracy, or other details of information posted by members.
  5. The Company is exempt from liability for transactions or similar dealings conducted between members or between a member and a third party through the Service.
  6. The translation feature of the Service is provided on the basis of AI technology and may not fully reflect the uniqueness of place names or real-time changes. Users must review the original text before making important decisions, such as reservations or travel arrangements, and the Service provider is not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from mistranslations.

Article 19 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. Lawsuits between the Company and members shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Lawsuits arising between the Company and members shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Company's location.

Article 20 (Miscellaneous)

  1. Matters not expressly provided in these Terms shall be governed by applicable laws.
  2. The Company may establish separate terms or policies for specific services, and where such separate terms conflict with these Terms, the separate terms shall prevail.

Supplementary Provision

  1. These Terms take effect on 2026-03-01.

Article 21 (Additional Terms for International Users)

  1. Mandatory consumer protection, privacy, and similar laws of the user's place of residence are not excluded by these Terms.
  2. If the governing law or jurisdiction provisions of these Terms conflict with mandatory law applicable to the user's place of residence, that mandatory law will prevail to the extent required.
  3. Non-Korean translations are provided for convenience. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, the Korean version of these Terms prevails in case of inconsistency.
